2MASS sample

I am selecting 2MASS galaxy samples for bulge-disk decomposition using GALPHAT. In order to make sure that galaxies have enough sky background, galaxies which is not too close to the edge of scan should be selected. But galaxy size and magnitude are correlated. Therefore selecting galaxies not close to the edge might exclude significant fraction of bright galaxies and make the sample incomplete.

Thus I have to quantify how fraction of exclusion varies with magnitude. I selected galaxies whose 3*r_k20fe is less than the distance to the edge of scan along either North/South or East/West direction. More than 50% of samples starts to be excluded from 9 mag in K band. This seems to be significant fraction.
